The Bugatti Veyron is an amazing car. Not just the way it looks or how fast it goes but for what it stands for.  The Bugatti Veyron is an engineering master piece, with over 1000 bhp on tap it will blast any other car on the road away.

While at the Goodwood Festival of speed in July 2008 i saw 3 Bugatti Veyrons, well 3 in the super car paddock and one in the Goodwood hotel car park so in actual fact i saw 4. There were some very rich people attending!  It was the first time i had seen a Veyron up close, i thought i might mave seen one at the MPH show last year but was left dissapointed.

The presence the car had was incredible it just sucked you over to have a look and admire it, there were many Ferraris, Aston Martins, Bentley, Ariel Atom, etc you get the point but the Bugatti was amazing. One one the best things about Goodwood festival of speed is that pretty much all the cars there complete the hill climb. Bearing in mind these cars are worth a stupid amount of money its amazing to see them in action blasting up the track.

Before the supercars were about to go up the hill, including the Veyron i cought it on camera leaving the supercar paddock on its way to the start line. Check it out:

The Mercedes SLR is one of the fastest cars on the road. But while at the Goodwood festival of speed i came across the Mclaren Mercedes SLR race car. This car looks stunning as a road car but just looked really mean as a race car, it looks like it could actually eat up the road!

The car has SLR carbon ceramic brakes which Mercedes claim are fade resistant to 1,200 degrees c. The ceramic brakes are needed when you consider the mount of power the car has under the bonnet. The Mercedes SLR has 5.4 litre engine as standard which is a supercharged V8. The V8 engine powers the car from 0-62 MPH in 3.2 seconds. and goes to 224 mph top speed. The SLR is similar in speed to the Porsche Carrera GT around a track but personally i think the SLR is far better looking and sounds fantastic. The SLR racing car especially looks like its ment to be driven on the track hard. Lewis Hamilton drove the Mercedes SLR up the Goodwood hill climb on Sunday 13th July 2008, although i havent got footage of Lewis at Goodwood yet…..check out the video below of Lewis Hamilton doing a hotlap on the Mercedes SLR.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Trackday Experience driving

Aston Martin is the gentleman’s supercar. And one of the most stunning pieces of machinery to ever grace the road. Out of all the supercars available I think I would have to try out the Aston Martin first, however I think I would spend most time just looking at it.

The Aston Martin is hand built and features very fine detail in the car from the wood, the push button start and stitching In the seats. This car oozes style and class!

The performance of the Aston Martin V8 match its stunning looks. The car features a 4.7 litre V8 engine producing 420 bhp propelling the Aston to 180mph and 0.62 mph in 4.9 seconds.
